MAKING A PURCHASE:

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details to complete the order, at this stage you will be given the opportunity to use any voucher codes or preferential postage choice. We accept: Visa (not visa electron), MasterCard and Maestro. All transactions are in pounds sterling.

When confirmation of an order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order and a contract is now binding. We have included this term to protect us in the case; a mistake has been made in pricing; item is unavailable; products are end of line or out of stock. In the case of a change of price, we will contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. Whilst we keep a wide range of stock in we will occasionally have to order items in at busy times and will confirm an estimated delivery date if we expect it to be more than a few days.

PAYMENTS:

All our online payments are screened by our online security partner SagePay.

Tax: We only supply within the UK; all orders are charged at the current rate.

Please note that the prices shown on the Plowman Brothers website may differ to trade counter prices.

Credit Card Security: Your Credit/Debit Card details are not stored in anyway on our systems, held in clear text on any website, or viewed by ourselves. We only see whether your transaction has been authorised.

Your Right to Cancel: You may, if you wish, cancel your order for any reason within 14 days starting on the day after you receive your goods. To do this you will need to notify us that you wish to do this, specifying the order number to be cancelled. If you do this we may ask you to pay the cost of returning the goods to us but, apart from this, the whole of your money will be refunded to you on receipt of returned goods, excluding any delivery charges that have already occurred.

Our Right to Cancel: If a payment address can not be verified with the card issuer or our online authorisation payments area declines your authorisation we have the right to cancel your order. Please ensure that the details you are asked match the same as that on your credit/debit card statement. If there is any conflict it is likely that the transaction will be declined or cancelled by ourselves due to conflict of information.

REFUNDS AND RETURNS:

Items not required:

We at Plowman Brothers Ltd aim to provide you with as much information as we can about each product so that you can make an informed purchasing decision. However, to give you additional confidence, we will allow you to return any item if it is not what you require within 21 days of receipt as long as it has not been used and is returned in its original packaging.

All you need to do is contact us on 01904 768230. We will then issue you with a returns code, explain our simple returns procedures and discuss with you the easiest and most convenient way for you to return the goods to us.

You should then return the items to us using the agreed method together with a completed goods return note. Unfortunately we cannot accept proof of posting as confirmation of delivery.

Upon receipt of the item(s) we will refund the full value of the item(s) (Excluding Delivery Charges) subject to them being unused and in their original condition and packaging.

FAULTY, INCORRECTLY SUPPLIED AND DAMAGED GOODS:

If an item has been incorrectly supplied, received damaged or is faulty then all you need to do is follow the Returns Procedures detailed above. We will then arrange collection of the item(s) free of charge. Upon receipt and inspection of the item(s) we will refund the full value of the goods and any carriage costs or offer an exchange.

DELIVERY:

Mainland UK delivery charges are subject to VAT.

All items are charged at a base rate of £3.50 (+VAT) plus any additional charges due to weight. Prices may vary outside UK Mainland (Scotland). If this is the case we will contact you and you are entitled to cancel your order if you wish. Our delivery costs only cover delivery charges within the UK mainland. If you are outside the UK we will calculate the postage depending on the size and weight of the item ordered and we may contact you if a further delivery charge is required. You will be entitled to a full refund if you believe the overseas postage is prohibitive.

Most deliveries are made by Royal Mail or YDL.

GUARANTEES:

Plowman Brothers Ltd takes great care to ensure that all products featured in this website are of a high quality.

As part of our commitment to quality we provide a quality guarantee on all items provided that they have been used in conjunction with the manufacturers instructions and cared for in the correct manner at all times. However in many cases, due to the exceptional quality of the products, the manufacturers may offer extended guarantees on their products.

For Machinery and Tools, Plowman Brothers Ltd follow the manufacturers policy, details of which will be included with the product.

AGREEMENT TO BUY; BINDING CONTRACT:

When you place an order via our website (www.plowmanbrothers.co.uk) we will treat that action as an offer to buy. Once the order has been placed you will receive confirmation and at this time we enter into a contract with you.

Plowman Brothers does not dispatch any products to outside of the UK as the contract is concluded in the UK and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law.
